They get into contact with their old college computer friend, Wittgenstein (voiced by Brian Doyle Murray) and he gives them a list of stuff they need to get into outer space, with a fan named Fanny (voiced by Carol Channing) a microwave (voiced by Wayne Knight), a faucet (voiced by the late Farrah Fawcett) and a calculator (voiced by Stephen Tobolowsky) to act as their guide with them riding a non-sentient laundry basket. Toaster decides the best thing is to go to Mars and get whom they call "The Little Master" back before Chris and Rob find out. Hearing Aid says that the transportation was for him and not for Robbie and since he was unable to repeat the process, he and Robbie are now stuck in space.
Shocked by this, the appliances learn from Hearing Aid's memory that he and Robbie had been transported to the planet Mars. The appliances follow Robbie and when they get up to the attic, a mysterious beam of light appears and takes Robbie. Toaster hears the conversation and tells his friends and Ratso what he heard and that they should keep an eye out for him, but the next night, they fall asleep and Hearing Aid makes his escape, and a curious Robbie craws out of his crib and follows him to the attic. The appliances look after him while a hearing aid named Hearing Aid tries to escape, and gets into contact with someone else from space telling the one on the other side that he'll be ready tomorrow. Radio and Blanky the electric blanket are living under a new roof with their master Rob and his wife Chris and their new baby Robbie.

But they were happy to see the characters back and they saw their favorite characters living a happy new life with their old master and his new wife and baby, and they saw new characters including new appliances and a rat named Ratso from the second film and things get a little hairy when the baby gets beamed up into space and now Toaster and the others must go into space to retrieve the baby before tomorrow's breakfast. In 1998, fans of the 1987 film The Brave Little Toaster, were excited to hear that a sequel was coming to video under the title The Brave Little Toaster Goes To Mars, but this kind of confused fans since the real second film The Brave Little Toaster was released to video a year later and this was the final film made so whatever made them switch dates is sort of a mystery.
